:Much has been made of Trump's unpopularity with Mormons and certainly that's a real thing- only 33% of Mormons see him favorably to 56% with an unfavorable opinion. But that still puts him in much better position than Clinton who comes in at 12/84 with Mormons. When it comes to the horse Clinton is actually tied for third among Mormons in the state- Trump gets 44%, McMullin 13%, and Clinton and Johnson tie for third at 12%. Echoing a finding we made the last time we publicly polled Utah in 2011, non-Mormon Utah would be one of the most Democratic states in the country. Among non-Mormons in the state, Clinton leads by 16 points with 46% to 30% for Trump, and 11% for Johnson."

Well, so much for that. The flippable Romney states are North Carolina, Arizona, and maybe Georgia.

They wouldn't have opened a campaign office for no reason. I bet they're internals show it's closer than this. That said Clinton winning the state is highly unlikely.

Well, there is a reason. They're goading Trump with a game of political chicken.

Eh, considering that Romney won this state by 50 points, this is still a pretty hilarious result.

Exactly.

And there was a reason that I was never hostile to Sanders. I do believe Sanders could have made Utah quite competitive. His personality meshes with Mormons well, and he does not have the historical baggage that Hillary Clinton has. Also, Sanders appealed very much to young voters. With a median age of 30, Utah is the youngest state in the country.

South Carolina?
South Carolina? How? Whites are outgrowing Blacks in that state, and it is far less educated and urbanized. It's by FAR the best fit for Trump of all the states on the Atlantic.

Romney along with the LDS Church should definitely endorse McMuffin.

The Church can't endorse. It would break the Johnson Admendment.

Then why do polls show it close and why do demographics back this up? If Hillary's lead grows to 8 or 9 by election day, South Carolina will be flipping.

There's no need to call Clinton a horse.
