Better than usual, though not good enough. The person would get votes in places like Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont; but places like Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut won't budge because of diehard Democrats.

Such a candidate would also lose many voters in the South, particularly in sensitive states like North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Virginia, and Florida. It's not worth it.
