Regardless, I think it's fair now to call Utah a Lean R state because of the third-party factor. We've seen enough polls to prove this.

Just verified what the poll says: apparently if Utah votes Democratic this year it will be the first time in 52 years.

Edit: the claim that it has been the most Republican state for 40 years, however, is false.

I'm not entirely sure he's the best surrogate for the state... being Bill Clinton and all. Plus he came in 3rd in 1992.

Don't know when it was conducted, but the Khan story probably isn't helping his chances at all here. Something tells me the Melania photos aren't gonna fly either

It also seems Johnson is getting a little blowback from some Mormonism comments, so perhaps Hillary can make inroads? Can't see it any closer than 50-40-10 though.

Still, worth a shot to send Kaine & Bernie here for the day
