Not a damn place.  I love flying, but refuse to step foot inside an aircraft until they remove all mask restrictions and reintroduce full-course meals on flights.

Could you try any harder?  lol

huh?   I can barely stand riding the DC metro wearing a mask during the weekends, and mostly have it off when no one is looking.  I can't imagine 4-12 hours wearing that face diaper.

And yes, I LOVE airplane food.  I don't care what anyone says.  I even dish out $20 for a second helping.

Nowhere so far, but there is a high chance that I fly to mainland Spain this summer, I just haven't bought my tickets yet.

That you would refuse to fly due to a lack of food service suggests you have no legitimate reason to travel, which is very pleb.  Trying to play it off as “I’m too good to fly if there’s no airline food” is some A+ cringe.

Haven't set foot into a plane since June 2019, I think.

We are in the middle of a pandemic and travel is not recommended, so I haven’t been on a plane this year (or ever before for what it’s worth).

Barring some sort of massive surprise, I will take my first flight tomorrow at 6:40 since February 2020.

A very simple LPA-MAD flight I've taken plenty of times (and the return leg), but my first flight nontheless. Considering I am actually heading towards Alicante as my final destination there was a possibility of adding a new airport to the list of airports I've been too but in the end going via Madrid ended up as the best option.

I made my first flights this year last month: ORD-SLC; SLC-PHX-ORD. I have one more trip booked in Oct/Nov to RNO.

Edit: My RNO flights have been changed and they are now ORD-RNO; RNO-LAX-ORD

Down to southwest Florida to visit my parents at the end of January. Nice two week escape from the cold and work during the worst of it yearly.

Nowhere.  I'm not getting on a plane with a bunch of unvaxxed people, having recycled air streaming through my lungs, knowing there's a chance some lunatic who doesn't want to wear a mask will get into a fight with a flight attendant.  The lasting legacy of Donald Trump.

Been taking advantage of the cheap TAP business class fares? They used to be only cheap when originating from Europe, but it's great to have such a good value transatlantic option from the US now, too. The A330neos and A321XLRs are both great, and the food/drink is way better than on US airlines. (granted, very low bar)

But Lisbon airport kinda sucks and their European business class is pretty bad compared to BA or Lufthansa, but you get what you pay for I guess.

Seems like this year will just be 2 round trips of LPA-MAD and nothing else.

I haven’t flown anywhere in 2021 and have no plans to.  2022 could be a different story, however.

No flights so far this year, but I have two planned:

SLC -> MCI 11/23
MCI -> SLC 11/27

Visiting family for Thanksgiving, in case that wasn't obvious.

I'm also considering taking a train trip (a train other than local public transport) in the US for the first time in December. We'll see how that goes.

Oh just normal TAP economy for me. It was the only itinerary that would allow me to get to Split to meet my friend's sailing yacht and then depart from Dubrovnik once we made the journey down the coast. We splurged on food and beverage on the boat (and on land) rather than on the flight.

I wasn't impressed with the Lisbon airport either. There was no coffee available before 0700.

RNO-LAS-ABQ - no plane change, though I was one of only five passengers that took both legs of the flight. Very bumpy landing in Vegas thanks to the wind. About 355 lbs CO2 according to my trip planner. First flight since late 2018. Still not a fan of flying, though I do like take-off. Just not landing or cruising.

Very bumpy landing in Vegas thanks to the wind.

I don't mean this as a criticism of Nevada lest Joe Republic flog me again (we will continue to disagree on that general topic), but the vast majority of the time I've flown into Vegas, it's been a wild landing. Takeoff seems ok. I'd say probably 95% of the landings were notably bumpy. I suppose something about the geographic conditions with the mountains? When I was riding on Colombian Air Force planes back in the day, even their landings on dirt runways in the desert or the jungle were smoother on average than LAS. Or it might just have been the time of day -- I almost always was on 1 of 2 flights from the East Coast.
