A bit odd that this map seems not to recognize Eritrean independence.

I thought it was a map from Jan-May 1993, but it has Montenegro

As of right now

San Francisco - Charlottesville, VA (via Philadelphia)
Lynchburg, VA - San Francisco (via Charlotte, NC)

And I'm hoping to get in one more trip, maybe out of Oakland for once.

Add: Oakland - Long Beach [and back]

Arrived back from my honeymoon last night. Was in Florence for Christmas, met the Pope in Rome, spent New Years in Zurich, and in the new year have flown from Zurich --> Rome, Rome --> Toronto, and Toronto --> O'Hare.

No more to add yet, but I'm very excited for some coming up in March that were just booked:

Chicago, IL to St. Maarten
St. Maarten to St. Barths (in a plane that would give nervous flyers a heart attack)

Nowhere, though I hope to add Dallas, Houston, or Nashville to the list.

Ha. I have been lucky, but my travel has been mostly for work, or when it's not, then it's extremely cheap last-minute deals to random places or else uses the points earned from my work travel.

Here was my 2016 map of airports and flights.

My next trip later this month is ORD-LAS; LAS-SFO-ORD.

I know it's not this year, but as long as I was messing around with the Great Circle Mapper, I plotted my peak travel year of 2015, when I flew through 31 airports on more than 100 flights.

Last year was a one-way trip from DTW-MCO, followed by a three-day drive from Avon Park, Florida to Flint, Michigan. I wish I flew more often.

Nowhere this year.  My last flight was in 2015.  Round trip from Chicago-O'Hare to Washington-Reagan.

Nowhere.... you either need to have a business travel gig to have flown anywhere this year, or some major family situation to have flown anywhere in the first week in 2017....

Or, just be independently wealthy, or have flown into an airport after a drunken escapade in somewhere like Vegas or NYC to celebrate New Years Eve....

Am I wrong here people?    Wink

Last year:

Tullamarine International Airport (Melbourne, Tullamarine) to Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar)

And in reverse order on the way home.

I think you are wrong, at least sort of.  There are plenty of people who travel to visit family over the Christmas-New Year's holiday window, whose return trip would then be on Jan. 1 or immediately afterwards.  So they certainly "flew somewhere" during the first week of January.  But I guess if you're not counting "returning home" as "flying somewhere" then it wouldn't count.  Tongue

You are absolutely correct, and there have been multiple times where I have taken a return flight from "somewhere" back home in the following calendar year....

Spaced the "return flight" gig from the equation.... The old gray cells aren't working as well as they used to.  Smiley
