California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom has been seen as a man who has presidential or vice presidential ambitions for years now. Ever since he was San Francisco Mayor (2004-2011), he's been seen as creating a stepping stone to the presidency (Running for Governor in 2018). If he does run for governor in 2018 and wins and is reelected in 2022, and runs for president in the future, will his baggage come up in the media?

If you mean his infidelity and whatnot, of course they will come up, but if people didn't care about Bill Clinton's or Donald Trump's indiscretions they probably won't care about Newsom's either.

Newsom at least isn't some super weird cheater. Bill Clinton kept married to his wife through many infidelities and rapes. Newsom cheated months after he filed for divorce.

He also seems very committed to his current family.
