Can the current North Carolina Attorney General, the current Democratic gubernatorial candidate against Gov. Pat McCrory (R-N.C.), if he wins in November, be a potential presidential or vice presidential contender in the future?

2024 is probably the next time the Democrats will have a competitive primary. By then he'll be 66. If the Republicans won that cycle and he ran again in 2028, he'd be 70. That's rather old and honestly I don't see the Dems nominating an older white male again for awhile. However, I could definitely see him being a Bidenesque VP pick for a young Democratic nominee in 2024 or 2028. Booker/Cooper 2024 anyone? Kennedy/Cooper?
