Not surprising or unexpected in light of the cases SCOTUS has yet to decide. We're going to have to wait until late June probably. If the Maryland and Wisconsin cases fail, the Ohio and Michigan cases would automatically fail.

Posted this in the C&L forum, but will do so here too.

Gov. DeSantis of Florida signed SB-7066 on Friday, making felons have to pay court fees and other costs to get their voting rights restored. Blatant disregard of the 2018 popular vote.

Um paying fines for crimes broken is part of the punishment

Of course you would say that. Republicans know very well now that they cannot win free and fair elections in this country nationally. They need everything to help them and obstacles to the other side. Your side needs the Electoral College to even have a chance at the Presidency, a hideously disproportionate Senate to maintain control, and extreme partisan gerrymandering to win the House. That's not even including all the ways Republicans make it harder to vote. Without any of that, the Republican Party would have been relegated to permanent minority status lest it be actually forced to change beyond its far-right, anti-science, nihilistic ways.
