Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is forced to take over, and tries to form a unity cabinet, though still loyal to the Democratic platform. Note: this'll be compiled mostly of congressmen, former Governors etc who I'm aware of, which I know isn't realistic.

This is what I believe to be the best government for the future of Israel as a united, majority Jewish, and democratic society. It would go a long way to mend the many schisms in our society between its many tribes, and be inclusive to the minorities inside it. It's an idea which is technically doable, but is exceedingly unrealistic, because it would require many actors to make logical but very hard-to-do concessions for politician egos. I believe that with the current results, the best government to preserve Israel as a united society, Jewish and Democratic, for years to come, is to create "a new contract" between the many different tribes and sects of Israeli society. These are he results of the Israeli election, for reference:

Kahol-Lavan (Benny Gantz)- 33 Seats
Likud (Benjamin Netanyahu)- 31 Seats
Joint Arab List (Ayman Odeh)- 13 Seats
Shas (Aryeh Deri)- 9 Seats
Yisrael Beiteinu (Avigdor Lieberman)- 8 Seats
United Torah Judaism (Ya'akov Litzman)- 8 Seats
Yamina (Ayelet Shaked)- 7 Seats
Labour-Gesher (Amir Peretz)- 6 Seats
Democratic Camp (Nitzan Horowitz)- 5 Seats

This coalition would have two main principles:

1. A compassionate social democratic economic policy to create equality of opportunities.

2. Advancing a serious negotiation for a peace agreement with the Palestinians and end to the military occupation. The rest would be a result of compromise and mutual understanding between the many parts of society. And this would be the composition:

1. Leading party:  Kahol-Lavan, a party that showed itself to have appeal to many parts of society, lead by a widely respected man. Lapid would need to give up on rotation and his strongly anti-Haredi stance. Gantz would be Prime Minister, Lapid Foreign Minister, Ashkenazi Defense Minister, Ya'alon Justice Minister.

2. The natural partners of Kahol-Lavan: the two parties to its left, which wouldn't be hard to convince to support these policies. Labour-Gesher would be given the Finance Ministry to Peretz and the Health Ministry to Levy; the Democratic Camp would be given the Education Ministry to Horovits, the Environmental Protection Ministry to Shaffir. Both would need to compromise on some policy goals, especially the latter.

3. The Haredim: UTJ and Shas, given the Home Office, Religious Affairs Ministry, and more. This would be a key plank of the new contract: we leave the Haredim at peace and stop trying to conscript them, we maintain funding to allow them to continue their way of life, we help their education system and have a mutual debate as to how we can help Haredi kids start with an equal opportunity at a career instead of trying to ram down things they don't want into their education system. In exchange change the religion-state status quo to give equality to other Judaism sects and LGBTQs, and we allow secular Isrselis to live their lives and have public transportation and open markets in Saturdays. We also implement the conversion reform that was previously agreed upon, a way to sooth the tension between the religious establishment and Russian Israelis. Live and let live.

4. The Arabs: Though the government has a bare majority without them, it should seek their support to expand it. Not only that, but doing so would be historic. The entire Joint List probably cannot enter a government and receive ministries yet, in exception of the three Balad MKs, it can support it from outside. This would be done in exchange for a new contract with the Arabs: implementing Ayman Odeh's demands of helping Arabs build up their villages and create a new city, take away the guns and work to stop violence in their midst, work towards a two state solution, and increase welfare by funding more shelters for victims of domestic violence and building a new hospital in an Arab city.

5. More planks to the contract which don't require political power: to help stop discrimination against the Ethiopian Jewish community, implement deep reforms to stop police violence; for the Russian community, implement immigration and religion and state reforms according to the contract with the Haredim.

And this would be the composition of the government:

Prime Minister: Benny Gantz (Kahol-Lavan)

Foreign Minister: Yair Lapid (Kahol-Lavan)
Defense Minister: Gabi Ashkenazi (Kahol-Lavan)
Deputy: Uri Maklev (United Torah Judaism)
Finance Minister: Amir Peretz (Labour-Gesher)
     Deputy: Ya'akov Margi (Shas)
Justice Minister: Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon (Kahol-Lavan)
Education Minister: Nitzan Horowitz (Democratic Camp)
Deputy: Meir Porush (United Torah Judaism)
Home Minister: Aryeh Deri (Shas)

Internal Security Minister: Orna Barbivai (Kahol-Lavan)
     Deputy: Pnina Tamano-Shata (Kahol-Lavan)
Health Minister: Orly Levy-Abekasis (Labour-Gesher)
Deputy: Ya'akov Asher (United Torah Judaism)
Economy and Industry Minister: Meshulam Nahari (Shas)
     Deputy: Moshe Arbel (Shas)
Labour, Welfare and Social Services Minister: Avi Nissenkorn (Kahol-Lavan)
Deputy: Ya'akov Tesler (United Torah Judaism)
Construction and Housing Minister: Ya'aKov Litzman (United Torah Judaism)
Transportation and Road Safety Minister: Ofer Shalah (Kahol-Lavan)
Environmental Protection Minister: Stav Shaffir (Democratic Camp)
Communications Minister: Miki Haimovich (Kahol-Lavan)
Culture and Sports Minister: Hili Tropper (Kahol-Lavan)
Agriculture and Rural Development Minister: Itzik Shmuli (Labour-Gesher)
Periphery, Negev and Galilee Development Minister: Michael Biton (Kahol-Lavan)
     Deputy: Yoav Ben-Tzur (Shas)

Jerusalem and Diaspora Affairs Minister: Yoaz Hendel (Yesh Atid)
Tourism Minister: Yael German (Kahol-Lavan)
Immigration and Integration Minister: Yoel Razvozov (Kahol-Lavan)
Social Equality Minister: Yair Golan (Democratic Camp
     Deputy: Karin Elharar (Kahol-Lavan)
Science and Technology Minister: Zvi Hauser (Kahol-Lavan)
Religious Affairs Minister: Yitzhak Cohen (Shas)
     Deputy: Michael Malchieli (Shas)

Speaker of the Knesset: Meir Cohen (Kahol-Lavan)
Chairperson of the Finance Committee: Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism)
Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee: Elazar Stern (Kahol-Lavan)

So, with Sanders increasingly likely to be the Democratic nominee, and since I'll obviously strongly root for him in the general, I decided to conceive a cabinet for him that I'd like Tongue It's aimed to be fairly realistic, it's very star-studded like most of these lists because these are the people I know about, and most of all, it's conceived with the hope that Bernie Sanders will prove to be better than his hardcore supporters want him to be and extend a hand of unity to the more moderate faction of his party.

The Cabinet of President Bernard Sanders, 2021-

President: Bernie Sanders (I\D-VT)
Vice President: Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)

Secretary of State: Russ Feingold (D-WI)
Secretary of the Treasury: Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)
Secretary of Defense: Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
Attorney General: Cory Booker (D-NJ)
Secretary of the Interior: Raúl Grijalva (D-NM)
Secretary of Agriculture: Brian Schweitzer (D-MT)
Secretary of Commerce: Debbie Dingell (D-MI)
Secretary of Labor: RoseAnn DeMoro (D-IA)
Secretary of Health and Human Services: Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI)
Secretary of Education: Randi Weingarten (D-NY)
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development: Ben Jealous (D-MD)
Secretary of Transportation: Jesus "Chuy" Garcia (D-IL)
Secretary of Energy: Paulette Jordan (D-ID)
Secretary of Veteran's Affairs: Jason Kander (D-MO)
Secretary of Homeland Security: Nanette Barragán (D-CA)

Chief of Staff: Faiz Shakir (D-FL)
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator: Bill McKibben (D-VT)

Hypothetical Scenario:
In 2021, a "Change government" is unable to form in Israel as MKs Ayelet Shaked, Abir Kara and Amichai Chikli from Yamina refuse to support it and join Likud. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu crosses many red lines in an attempt to cling to power. Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin from Likud refuses to hold a Presidential election, becoming the interim President when President Rivlin's term ends in June 2021. He refuses to comply with Supreme Court orders calling for an election and, as governing partner Benny Gantz protests heavily, government meetings cease. In the fifth election, Netanyahu suffers another defeat as the anti-Netanyahu bloc gains a clear majority and a clear shot at forming a government:

2021 (Second) Israeli Knesset Election (Final Results)
Likud (Benjamin Netanyahu)- 28 Seats (-5)
Yesh Atid (Yair Lapid)- 21 Seats (+4)
Democratic Party (Merav Michaeli)- 13 Seats (+-0)
Blue & White (Benny Gantz)- 10 Seats (+2)
Shas (Aryeh Deri)- 9 Seats (+-0)
Yamina-New Hope- (Naftali Bennet)- 8 Seats (-2)
Religious Zionism (Bezalel Smotrich)- 8 Seats (+2)
United Torah Judaism (Ya'akov Litzman)- 6 Seats (-1)
Yisrael Beiteinu (Avigdor Lieberman)- 6 Seats (-1)
Joint List (Ayman Odeh)- 6 Seats (+-0)
Ra'am (Mansour Abbas)- 5 Seats (+1)

Netanyahu's opponents now numbered at 69 seats, with Bennet and Sa'ar's party, and could form a government in several constellations. But the unthinkable happened when interim President Levin gave the government formation mandate to Netanyahu, claiming the election results were fraudulent, and the Prime Minister in turn announced a special committee to investigate the issue.

Huge protests erupted across the country, with a few Likud Party members leaving it but many staying and supporting the power grab. Violent clashes between Netanyahu supporters and opponents started in Jerusalem, with dangerous elements such as the hilltop youths instigating. After firing Gantz and all Kahol Lavan Ministers, Netanyahu announced that the election results were null, refused to swear in the new Knesset, and continued to ignore the Supreme Court, declaring it illegitimate. He then announced a state of emergency due to the violent clashes, and cancelled his own corruption trial.

The camel's back finally broke. In one dark night, IDF forces led by Defense Minister Benny Gantz and IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi stormed the Knesset and the Prime Minister's residence in Balfour Street, Jerusalem.

Former Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with his wife Sarah and son Yair, were arrested by the army. Others arrested during the coup d'etat were Knesset Speaker and Interim President Yariv Levin, Internal Security Minister Amir Ohana, Finance Minister Yisrael Katz, MK Miki Zohar, pretender Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, Construction Minister Ya'akov Litzman, Home Minister Aryeh Deri, Health Minister Yuli Edlestein, Transportation Minister Miri Regev, Digital Minister David Amsalem, MK Bezalel Smotrich, Noam Party leader and MK Avi Maoz, MK Simcha Rotman, Kahanist MK Itamar Ben Gvir, Kahanist militia leaders Baruch Marzel and Bentzi Gopstein, Police Chief Kobi Shabtai, Mosaad Director Yossi Cohen, State Comptroller Matanyahu Engelman, Brigadier General Ofer Winter and others suspected of loyalty to the ousted Prime Minister.

With the shocking coup d'etat done, the IDF had to establish an emergency government. It consisted mostly of retired Israeli politicians and opposition party leaders, with care not to include current army generals, to try and avoid criticisms of a military government.
