Also, the position of Election Officer is vacant. Please let me know if you would like to take that position.
Shouldn't you still be Election Officer? According to the Fremont Constitution,

Yes, Technically I can retain the position. However, I am considering it vacant and will allow for someone else to take over the position. I would like to stay as Governor for now and then return to the Legislature or continue to make progress as Governor.

My staff and the staff of Governor Pikachu today exchange files. I now have all the legislation that the Governor had on his desk.

After privately reaching to various individuals to get people to file for nominations, no nominations have been filed by the deadline with-in the Rules of the Fremont Assembly. Therefore, since there is no fall back procedure laid out in law. Under the Constitution, the Governor may appoint someone to the Assembly (Article II Section 5). If you are wanting to be appointed let me know.

Also, I say this , I am looking for someone who really wants to focus on the region. We have two members of the Assembly, one running as VP on a Presidential Ticket, the other, mounting a write-in Campaign for the Senate. I do not disparage the legislators for there ambition and call to public service at the federal level.

In alignment with the Constitution of Fremont. Legislator Griffin has hereby taken up his position as Senator for Fremont. I have reached out to the Chair of the Labor Party per Regional Legislation and he has informed me that Wolfentoad is the Parties nominee to fill the vacancy left by Griffin. Congrats!
It also falls upon me to nominate a successor for my seat, as no candidate declared within the period expressed in statute. Seeing that Wulfric put his name forward to run (although after the deadline) I will nominate Wulfric to the Legislative Assembly of Fremont. Congrats.

I am announcing that the Special Election for Governor will start tomorrow. If you wish to run, please declare in the Candidates thread. I will run, but always enjoy competition. My apologies for not announcing this sooner, I thought that the election was two weeks after the vacancy. Poor interpretation.

Brief update:
I am currently working with the GM to introduce a budget into the Fremont Legislature. I am also calling on the legislature to quickly resume business and work on the Greener Fremont Act. I will also be working in the coming days on legislation to make Fremont the ideal location for Tech businesses to move to. I will next week introduce some ideas to reform the Fremont political landscape.

Thanks??? I don't remember being Governor before. I was a member of the Althing and SoIA. I unsuccessfully ran for Governor in a recall election. Unless I missed a few elections. Thanks!

After having several discussions with the GM. I am proud to announce that I will presenting a budget to the Legislature in the next few days. I am hoping that the numbers become more flushed out but for now I am proud to say that this is what we have come up with. Bare in mind, more is to be flushed out.

Healthcare - $175.220bn
Pensions - $91.283bn
Education - $74.106bn
Welfare - $43.079bn
Police/Justice - $38.392bn
Transport - $20.312bn
General Govt - $18.972bn
Debt Interest - $16.518bn
Other - $14.062bn
TOTAL - $491.954bn

Debt - $442.089bn

This is a large regional budget but we planned for this. The revenue Act that Fremont passed earlier this year totals a revenue of $521.611 Billion. This means, that if the budget passes as is (which I doubt) we will see a surplus of $29.657 Billion. This surplus can be used to pay for new programs and pay down the regions debt ahead of schedule. I wish to thank GM Clyde for his help and analysis. I am proud to see our region making moves for the future. I will be unveiling my full agenda in the weeks to come (RL is insane right now).
