I think it's a great sign that she's still leading after what was probably the worst week of her campaign. I wonder if Trump will take a lead for the week after the RNC?
He must get a lead immediately after the Reactionary Party Convention or it is all but over. John McCain got a slight, if ephemeral, lead after the Republican National Convention in 2008.
Donald Trump has been as effective as anyone in making 30% of Americans into fanatical supporters and maybe 5% into resolute supporters. On the other side he has caused 40% of Americans to become resolute, if not fanatical opponents. 40% of Americans think that Donald Trump must lose if America is to be generally good.
Trump faces a disadvantage: more people will be asking anyone who shows any sign of voting for Donald Trump how one could possibly vote for him. For some that will be "He says terrible things about my people". For me it will be more like "He is a dangerous demagogue, making contradictory promises that he cannot keep, and his first decisions as President will be deciding which promises he will betray. How lucky do you think you are?"
