Maybe he meant the 12th Amendment. He will protect the Electoral College at all cost.
Or he meant: I will lose the popular vote, but win the electoral vote.

Trump accidentally revealed his long con. When elected he has a plan for a new Constitution, which will have new articles. I believe Article XII is the one that makes him pope, or possibly it is the one that makes saying "Merry Christmas" mandatory.

One of the funniest things about this entire incident, is that it was Republicans that "ratted" trump out as a fool.
The Republicans released this information to the media. This was a private meeting that trump and the others had, and anything said in the room, could have been kept secret.
But thankfully, some felt the need to release this information for all of us to hear ... and know that trump is incompetent and ignorant.
