Pelosi emphasized that the number of sensitive emails are a drop in the bucket relative to those scrutinized by federal investigators — 110 of the roughly 30,000 emails Clinton turned over to the State Department were classified, according to the FBI.

But even that, Pelosi said, is "too many."

"There should not even be one," the Democratic leader said during a press briefing in the Capitol.

"The secretary has said she made a mistake, she wouldn't do it that way again," Pelosi said. "Am I comfortable with it? Secretary Clinton ... is going to be the president of the United States."

Thunderous silence on this post so far with the exception of your much-appreciated comment.

Probably because your title is incredibly misleading and in the quote you even posted, Pelosi says Clinton will be the next President.

Probably because this story is absolutely irrelevant. Pelosi stating something which everyone already knew (the private server was a mistake) is news?

Pelosi emphasized that the number of sensitive emails are a drop in the bucket relative to those scrutinized by federal investigators — 110 of the roughly 30,000 emails Clinton turned over to the State Department were classified, according to the FBI.

But even that, Pelosi said, is "too many."

"There should not even be one," the Democratic leader said during a press briefing in the Capitol.

"The secretary has said she made a mistake, she wouldn't do it that way again," Pelosi said. "Am I comfortable with it? Secretary Clinton ... is going to be the president of the United States."

Pelosi and I are about on the same page on this one.

30,000 emails sounds like a lot, sure.  That's only 20 emails a day over 4 years.  The vast majority of the 30,000 are going to be back-and-forth exchanges about mundane things.  If you conduct a lot your communication via email (because you're old and have never heard of IM), you're gonna have a s***ton of email.

Being a high-volume email user doesn't excuse lapses in judgment when allowing discussions of classified matters take place over insecure channels.  Just because you send/receive 20 emails a day, doesn't mean every time you use email on a private server for a super-high-profile job, you shouldn't take the time to ask yourself, "This communication, is it sensitive?  Is it appropriate to conduct it here?"
