Kaine. He’s the more safe and loyal choice. (though I prefer Castro over all, Kaine being second)

Warren. Kaine is too boring and moderate to excite the base of the Democratic Party, and Clinton really needs to excite the base.

I haven't been following politics for as long as many people here, but I do have to ask, when does the VP EVER excite the base?

It's never been my experience that the VP slot is that important to the voters.

Warren, since I want Hillary to win. I don't like either of them as the actual Vice President though.

Sarah Palin was picked for that.

It did, actually. Palin turned off some voters, but she really excited parts of the GOP base. Bush and the economy killed McCain's chances, not Palin.

Regardless, that ticket didn't win. In most cases from my memory, the VP is just not that important to people. That's why, in my opinion, Warren should NOT be Hillary's VP. Warren has better things to do with her time and energy that will benefit the country in a more productive way.

I like Warren a lot, but I'd prefer Kaine to be VP over her for the simple reason that I think she is better off in the Senate. I really don't see Clinton's VP being that consequential in her administration when compared to the likes of Biden, Cheney, and even Gore. And Kaine would be fine in that role.

The reason that this is wrong this time is that the people who need a reason to be excited are the people that pay a lot of attention. I don't think nominating Webb would really excite white rural populists, for example, but Warren would be all over the alt news sources progressives use all the time (usuncut, commondreams, alternet, etc.)

Much like the nomination of Castro would really involve the Political Latino community (Dreamer activists, La Raza, etc) in the process of electing Clinton in a non Trump year, so involving Left Wing Washington (MoveOn, the WFP, etc) is really going to be the only way to effect high prog turnout for the ticket.

Go ahead, help Trump and pick Pocahontas.

Who buys that who isn't already voting for Trump?

Palin's selection may have saved McCain from losing Georgia, Missouri, and Montana, in addition to all the states he already lost.

Moderate Republicans.

Last time I checked there were very few "moderate Republican" voters supporting Hillary in the polls.
