Seriously, it's really weird.

It must be really sad to spend your whole life obsessed with a topic that you have no power over, that doesn't actually affect your life in any way, and that just makes you angry angry angry all the time.  It's like if someone was an obsessive Browns fan and did nothing but enthusiastically talk about how much they hated all the other teams all day long, they were on every Browns website and just posted about how much they hated the Bengals and the Steelers or whatever... all their clothing is Browns clothing, they refuse to date any girl who doesn't love the Browns as much as they do and can't even get a date cause when they meet someone all they talk about is the god damn Browns and how much they hate the Bengals for poisoning Johnny Manziel, or how Mike Pettine is a double agent for the Steelers paid off to ruin the careers of brave patriots just trying to play a good game and win.  And the worst part of it is, the guy doesn't even live in Cleveland, he lives in San Francisco and everyone's a 49ers fan and couldn't care less about the Browns.  Every year the Browns have another 3-13 or 4-12 season and this guy is just miserable and furious 24/7.  What a life.

I strongly supported Bernie Sanders, over Hillary Clinton, for the 2016 Democratic nomination for president of the United States.

It wasn't based on a feeling of being in love with Bernie Sanders and feeling sheer hatred for Hillary Clinton.

My primaries vote, for Bernie, was for his platform.

I have read a couple Salon pieces by H.A. Goodman. But, with those ones I read, it did not strike me as personal. (For example: He wrote about why Democrats siding with Hillary vs. Bernie was a failure to recognize where the country is heading; like the tide of history.)

The Twitter stuff is, understandably, lashing out at Hillary and her primaries voters. But, he's done it in a way that isn't smart.

I haven't followed too many name-columnists or -bloggers, writing about politics, to keep track as well as other people have. But, didn't H.A. Goodman have political views that are libertarian? (If that is so…well, he went through a real change.)

It's hard to not see it as personal. Like it's all he does, and I don't mean that as some exaggeration. It seems like it's all he does, every day. It's one thing to write about politics in general, but this is strange as hell.

This is what I mean - It's just weird and almost stalker-level behavior. He just wakes up, eats bare amount of food for sustenance, reads stuff about Hillary and practically has an aneurysm while yelling outloud to himself about how bad she is, makes like 2 videos bitching about her / claiming Bernie will win still somehow, then goes to lunch, comes back, yells some more, makes another video, eats dinner, continues stumbling around his basement muttering to himself, then goes to bed. Repeat.

There is something legitimately wrong with this man if all his life has been based around for the past 6 months (or longer) is how bad Hillary is and how Bernie will somehow still win. He has to be aware of how crazy he looks too, because his Twitter account is racked with tweets telling him how ridiculous he is being.

The general idea of the article is that Goodman doesn't give a rats ass about Bernie. He's just using him as a tool to beat Hillary with. Everything about this man and what he has done for the past couple years suggests he has a deeply unhealthy and strange obsession with Clinton.

Honestly, I've thought this might be true for a while, but in my eyes today basically confirms it. Goodman isn't actually a legit Bernie supporter. Or, he's just an extremely opportunistic one with ulterior movies. If you look at pieces he wrote over the past few years, he spent a lot of time lavishing praise on Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Martin O'Malley, and Jim Webb. The only consistent principle is his hatred of Hillary. So basically, he's just a sexist who clung to whichever great white male hope was the best bet to beat Hillary at any given moment. He likely saw an opportunity to fleece the Berniebros, particularly those on Reddit and Twitter, who unquestioningly believe any "news article" that tells them what they want to hear regardless of the source. He's likely made a lot off the ad revenue. I mean, on top of today, he's written articles in the past about how Hillary would finish 3rd in Iowa (behind O'Malley) and that Bernie would sweep the South on Super Tuesday. I'm skeptical he's genuinely dumb enough to actually believe the tripe he puts out, but it gets the clicks and views from the people who genuinely ARE that stupid and know nothing about politics other than what Reddit tells them.
