lol. Not even close.

She's had what, just over one term in elected office plus part of a term in an appointed office?

lol. Not even close.

She's had what, just over one term in elected office plus part of a term in an appointed office?

She spent 12 years in elected or appointed office (2001 - 2013), then 8 years as First Lady, where she was involved enough to gain some degree of experience in executive affairs, and then of course she was with Bill in Arkansas and she is a lawyer to boot.

So I don't think she is the most experienced ever, but she has a lot more experience than other past presidents in modern American history. More than Carter, Reagan, GWB, arguably more experience than her husband when he took office. Not sure about GHWB.

In regards to Nixon and JFK, she has had as much experience as they did - Both of them had 12 - 13 years in public office beforehand, with Nixon serving as VP, while Hillary was SoS. She is definitely very experienced, and I don't think 'by far' is a fair assessment. She is at the upper end for presidents in the 20th and 21st century.

And she's facing the least qualified candidate in American history.

Also sounds like Obama was on a roll today on the stump.

Lyndon B. Johnson:

- House of Representatives from 1937-1949
- Senate from 1949-1961
- 6 years as Senate Majority Leader
- Vice President from 1961 - 1963

Altogether, he had 26 years of political experience before becoming President (and he was extremely active during his time in Congress).

I couldn't help but laugh at Obama's digs at Trump:

Probably the most qualified since Bush 41. Certainly a hell of a lot more qualified than Trump, which is what really matters since they're running against each other.

Jeb was the most qualified presidential candidate since Bush Sr.

She wasnt even the most qualified candidate this year. Kasich, for example, is more qualified.

Jerry Ford and LBJ were the most qualified.  Nixon was probably about even with her.

What does "the most qualified" actually mean?

When LBJ was a candidate, he had already been President for a year. Obama is presumably discounting people who are already President.

Certainly not true, but I guess when you look at Trump, anyone is more qualified.

For those saying Buchanan, etc...

a person who is Governor/Senator/Secretary of State/etc. today is MUCH more experienced and qualified than someone who held the same positions more than 100 years ago.

Sure she is. She's a career politician, clearly we must look for someone outside this so called "Washington establishment".
