I know there are a lot of Hispanics there. But since Trump does well in Reno and rural areas and his connections to the casinos in Las Vegas can help him to possibly flip the state. The margin can offset Clark county.

In a close election, probably not. Democrats are building a registration edge that would be near impossible to overcome.

He has connections to casinos in Las Vegas, but is there any reasonable evidence showing that those connections will give him votes?

Anyways -- can he win, you ask? It's a tough question to answer, obviously, because we have a long way to go before November; and Nevada is notoriously difficult to poll (when was the last poll here?).

Nevada isn't impossible, based on Romney's performance in 2012. Trump might need a good 2-3% victory nationwide to pull it off.

Only 64% of Nevada voters in 2012 were White.

Can he? Yes.
Will he? Probably not, unless he has already won the election.

(Oh, and inb4 xingkerui)

Oh, come on, I'm not THAT bad about NV. Tongue

Anyway, no, Trump's not winning NV. Connections to casinos won't win him actual votes. In addition to his Latino problem, NV also has a sizable Mormon population, which could hurt him even more.

What are these "connections to Las Vegas casinos" you guys keep talking about?  And why would they matter?

It's going to matter as much as the "New York Values".

And I just returned from Las Vegas--with the enormous diverse mix that I saw, that 64% of 2012 is a distant memory for the Repubs...

No. N-O. Nevada and Virginia are the two most-rapidly Democratic-trending* states in the nation. Neither one of them are looking back.

If Trump's Vegas casinos are anything like the one in Atlantic City, that should drive voters away.

Trump doesn't have any Vegas casinos.

Again, I'm really confused about these "connections" Trump has to Vegas casinos. Huh

Yes, he can. He can win the suburban Republicans in the Clark County area. He has to run up the score with the Steve Wynn crowd (businessmen/businesswomen).

Trump can't win Nevada unless Hillary's campaign collapses somehow.

Of course he can. Is it likely? No. I would give him a 30% chance.
