The Bad Place. I won't say the name, to ensure I do not trigger a certain Minnesotan or Masshole.

Or maybe Oklahoma. But I repeat myself.

LOL.
When I voted West Virginia, I laughed when it displayed all the same votes.

West Virginia. Though OK wouldn't be so far behind.

Oklahoma.  I know a lot of West Virginians.  If there's a Blue Wave, they will remember what made them Democrats and join it.  Oklahoma will vote for Satan with an R next to his name.

That's a close call.  I tend to think of Wyoming as voting Republican because of demographics (6th whitest, 2nd most male) and sagebrush issues, while Oklahoma has more to do with genuine conservative politics.

What does Trump have to offer a Sagebrush Republican?  I have wondered this for months.

Both WV and OK seem like plausible choices but I voted AK. After all, after Palin, they can genuinely view Trump as an improvement. Smiley

WV, the coal miner comment alone ensures that.

Fitting, since white holes push matter out, rather than pulling matter in. Wink

Voted WV, but now I'm thinking it may be AL due to inelasticity. I think WV will probably be Trump's best state in a normal election, but a majority of its voters have a history of voting Democratic at at least some level, which is not the case for Alabama (anymore).

Although it does raise an interesting question of what exactly would have had to happen for Clinton to win 49 states. It's almost certainly too late for a 1984-esque economic boom. Normally you'd say a huge gaffe or scandal, but Trump seems to be somewhat immune to the usual rules on that.

In this apocalyptic scenario: I'm writing in Montana.  Trump is polling ridiculously high there, much better than Romney in 2012.

Maybe Trump will test his 5th avenue theory to see whether his voters would really abandon him?
