A major financial crisis, terrorist attacks, universal condemnation by world leaders, possible indictment for fraud, multiple wars, a  possible UN invasion?? What's the worst that could happen?

He turns his back on conservatives and governs as a liberal, basically mimicking Obama, but with a more risky foreign policy.  Maybe he loses a few states too.  He is successfully primaried in 2020.  He also fails in an attempt to annex Mexico, causing the Republic of Texas to format in the middle (with a few bordering states joining in).

It's certainly not a worst case scenario, but in terms of things I could easily see happening: A major and long-lasting increase in harassment of and violence against immigrants and communities of color, as a reinvigorated KKK and similar groups carry out their goal of "taking [their] country back". Plausibly widespread violence in major American cities as those communities being targeted fight back. Following from all of that, a massive (negative) reassessment of the fundamental safety and stability of the United States by foreign governments and businesses.

Yeah, I would definitely expect altercations between the radical right and the radical left (and as you said, minorities defending themselves) to escalate across the country if Trump gets elected.  Perhaps then certain people would regret being so quick to discredit the protestors physically resisting Trump and his supporters at rallies.  Of course, some people would continue to falsely victimize the fascists, but the good-hearted ones would realize that the anarchists were right all along.

He'll make America great again, which would only be disastrous to those who love globalism and political correctness.

He'll Make America Great Again! so we can bring back segregation, lynching, and everything else that made America great 70 years ago! Maybe we can even make America as great as it was 150 years ago and bring back slavery, but this time for the Muslims, we'll definitely be able to monitor them then! The most American thing to do is to be not be"politically correct" so we can finally use racial slurs freely! Who cares that Trump mocked a disabled reporter, or generalizes whole groups of people, or who's generally a bigoted asshole? He's not politically correct and that's what matters! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Anyways, a Trump presidency would look bad, it would be marked by a huge recession caused by an increased and sudden isolation of the united states in the global economy, an increasingly hostile relationship towards most major countries (especially allies) but a less hostile relationship with countries like Russia, increasingly difficult conditions within the United States (much of which is caused by the recession) which lead to an increased crime rate. Really not a great future.

Poor economy. Middle East turmoil. Societal distrust. Gridlock. Budget issues. Angry foreign allies. Domestic spying. Intolerance towards people who disagree. Basically George W Bush's 5th consecutive term.

Only a couple percent of the world's population died because of Hitler. So Trump is like 10 times worse than Hitler?

There has been some technological progress since.

I like your search for an upside of a Trump presidency.

A major financial crisis, terrorist attacks, universal condemnation by world leaders, possible indictment for fraud, multiple wars, a  possible UN invasion?? What's the worst that could happen?

In the middle of a collapsing economy (with TrumpMiller playing Hoover), multiple constitutional crises (as TrumpMiller tries to just ignore the law), and widespread civil unrest (TrumpMiller actively encourages racial and political violance),  TrumpMiller's "administration" gets into a minor but real confrontation with the Chinese or Russians. Think Hainan Island or Kosovo Airport. TrumpMiller being Trumpignorant, stupid, and mentally ill decides he's going to "channel Reagan" and (after all the sane senior personnel have resigned or been fired) plausibly threatens nuclear war. It's intended to be part of an "extreme" negotiating strategy, but fails miserably. Instead, they take the actions and words of the US government as preparations for nuclear war.

The panicking Chinese or Russians launch a real counterforce/countervalue strike that catches the unprepared TrumpMiller government by surprise. A devastated US collapses and breaks apart, followed by the entire global economy collapsing and multiple wars (complete with occasional nuclear strikes) gradually merge into one, and night closes over human civilization.

Centuries later, survivors still ritually throw small orange dolls with exaggerated large heads in the bottom every new outhouse dug, as the entire human race metaphorically sh**ts on TrumpMiller, keeping alive his memory as the worst human being ever.

Ummm. No. Speech codes are bad.

Additionally, I reject this entire post as indicative of Atlas' disastrous anti-Trump bias.

Disagree. Common decency respects the rule of law and the sunshine laws, which the Clintons care little about.

Only inasmuch as there's an eminently reasonable consensus that 'secretive and sketchy' is better than 'secretive, sketchy, completely unqualified, and clearly unstable'.
