I'm the best man for my friend's wedding and am planning a bachelor party in Austin this year.  I've always wanted to go but have never been.

We already have a house rented near downtown (where SXSW usually is) during August; there will be 4-6 of us.

Best places to go, things to do, places to eat, ways to get around?  I know little, so I'd greatly appreciate anything from people with Austin experience.
