Trump - 43%
Clinton - 39%

If we haven't already, I think we can disregard Razzy for the rest of this election cycle.

Junk. Rasmussen is a pro-Republican pollster.

Just throw it in the average and forget it exists.

Yep, lets just consider this a counterbalance to that Washington Post poll.

Going to extremes: Spread in national Trump-vs.-Hillary support is 23.4 million raw votes. That is—from Trump @ 5.2 million to Hillary @ 18.2 million.

How nice to see such consensus!

It's still scary, even though it goes against every single thing we've seen.

Trump has now led in 9% of head-to-head polls against Clinton, only two of which were not Rasmussen or Fox News.

Yep, it's going pretty well for him.

Not really, the movement is consistent with the other polling the past few days showing a slight narrowing/trend towards Trump from the 5-7 to 3-6 point range.

Whoops, that said Trump +4? Yeah throw it in the trash along with the Washington Post poll.

Exactly. It's already in the 538 average with a low weight.

I remember Rasmussen's saying that Romney would win on election day 2012. Afterwards, I stopped  paying attention to their polls.

Gallup got it wrong as well.

Gallup also got the drift and no longer does horse race numbers anymore.

God damn it, now RCP is going to look stupid for the next week or two.  Just like it did for that month between September and October that it took for the IBD Trump 17 poll to work its way out of the system.

I like how they tucked this in there near the end.

IIRC, in 2012 Ras was the only pollster that actively "unskewed" by reweighing based on their LV model assumptions of party identification. Are they still doing that, and if so, what is their assumption?

Also, are they still purely landline IVR?   Polling only landlines and no nonEnglish option could explain Trump leading "other minorities" (in addition to small sample)

I'm surprised 538 hasn't just banned them by now.

Rasmussen actually used to be a legit poster, but then he realized he could make more money by telling Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity's audience what they wanted to hear.

Mother of God...

"Other minority voters" - What exactly does that even mean? Are they saying Trump is leading among Hispanics and Asians, among others? How can they expect anyone to take them seriously if that's the case? No Republican has ever won a majority of Hispanic voters, at least as far back as the data goes, and they think Donald Trump, that's right, Donald "Somebody's doing the raping" Trump is going to shatter that losing streak?
