After one term of Donald Trump (2017-21), marked by 'return of hawkism' with war on ISIS (2017-19) who started Recession of 2020 with inbalance of public accounts (with $20.6 trillion debt on Election Day 2020) and the failed Mexican-American wall, Kamala Harris was elected in a landslide with Democrats controlling both houses of Congress.

President Harris, in the greatest move of her first term, signed the Healthcare System Act of 2022 improving 2010's Obamacare. After a economic plan based on New Deal, debt has fallen to $16.5 trillion. With unemployment at 5%, Harris and VP Joe Kennedy III were reelecteds in another landslide against Governor Joni Ernst of Iowa in 2024.

In Russia, Putin fails on a coup attempt before presidential elections and has been deposed from Presidency. Many resistence groups has been formed to 'take Putin back on Kremlin' including a ultra-nationalist and terrorist one called as Душа Отечества (Soul of Homeland or SoH). Enter 2025-29 this group taked many cities on Western Russia and begin, how can we say, the 'ISIS' of his time.

On February 1st, 2027 some hours before President Harris State of Union, many bombs exploded in a dozen of Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York points, killing 1,185 the deadliest attack since 9/11. President Harris called, with President Kosygin of Russia, war on SoH in May 2027 G-8 meeting in Berlin.

Senator Nixon-Cox (elected against Chuck Schumer in 2022, Representative for NY-2nd enter 2019-21) clinched Republican nomination by May 2028 against Senators Cotton and Sasse and selected Governor Curbelo of Florida as running mate. VP Kennedy easily won Democratic nomination and choosed former Secretary of State Julian Castro as his running mate.

On Election Day 2028, Harris approval are on 46-50% and unemployment at 4.7%. In a historical rematch enter Kennedy and Nixon, who'll win in your opinion?

Discuss with maps.

Was this Castro's record?
HUD: 2014-2017
Senator of Texas: 2019-2021
Commerce: 2021-2023
State: 2023-2027
Senator: 2027-PRESENT

~272-282(277 now): Senator Christopher Nixon Cox/Governor Carlos Curbelo
~266-256(261 now): VP Joseph P. Kennedy, III/Senator Julian Castro

Agree in all, less on his comeback to Senate. Probably after two terms of Greg Abbott (or three terms and after 30 years of Republican rule in Texas) it's most plausible he serves a Governor since 2027 or SecState until 2028.

I figured his brother became Senator in 2020/2021, either through appointment and special election or against Cornyn. Then Joaquin retires in 2024 or 2026 to run for Governor in 2026.
