Gun control laws (sane, normal, etc.)

Even more than the killer himself?  That's neither sane nor normal.

The killer's own homophobia and loose gun control laws. Voted for the former.

Without a gun, he would've been weaponless. He would've been powerless. And all those people would be alive.

Unbalanced individual + Easy access to assault weapons = Yet another mass shooting.

Ongoing general dehumanization of LGBT led to his specific targeting of the nightclub.

So if he killed someone with his hands... are his hands responsible more than himself?

Seek help.

The shooter, as always, is the the responsible party. Even if there were factors that aided his derangement and made it easier for him to kill.

Except that he didn't. I agree that there are many factors at hand, and that it's not solely the guns' fault, but

A) I think they're most at fault
B) If we are to take anything away from this tragic event, it should be that ASSAULT WEAPONS MUST BE BANNED, BACKGROUND CHECKS MUST BE INSTITUTED, AND THE NSA SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN FROM MAKING CAMPAIGN DONATIONS.

Of course the killer is responsible. That being said, there is no way that he would have been able to murder as many people as he did with less lethal weapons.

It's a droll thread for sure. Also the last option is either weirdly sarcastic or nonsensical.

The killer is obviously most responsible, but a healthy dose of fundamentalist Islamism certainly didn't help.

Ask the Tsarnaev brothers if you need a gun to kill a bunch of people. If other people there had been armed, he could have been stopped sooner. If "assault weapons" were banned, he would have used a pressure cooker.

And lest you forget, he passed a background check and a full FBI investigation.

Because bringing a gun to a nightclub (where, if your brain cant comprehend, people drink) is an amazing idea!!

Mandatory background checks should exist, but the shooter did the shooting. He was also radicalized by the extreme parts of Islam. The third and fifth options are stupid because nobody thinks that way except for parodies of caricatures of liberals. There are multiple causes, voted for the one I think is the biggest.

Regarding option 3, Trump was criticized by NBC and GMA today. As for option 5, it was far more likely to get votes than an option to blame Hillary/Obama.

He could of made a bomb, and killed alot more people than 50. Are you that dense?
