This looks like a good sign. Hopefully Portman will hang on.

As I've been saying many times, Strickland is by no means remembered fondly and Portman's allies are already on air bombarding him. Portman is much safer than he looks, even though he still could lose in a total collapse.

It may not look like it on the outset, but this is a very good looking poll for Portman. Most undecideds are, on paper, Portman-leaning (lots of Republicans, lots of Indies). Portman also scores a whopping 20% of Democrats - something that will probably change over the course of time. Still, this is probably going to be the hardest seat for Democrats to lodge of the ones available considering Strickland has a deep fundraising disadvantage.

It's kind of ridiculous how saturated the media is with Portman ads. But I guess a $15 million ad buy will do that. Strickland really has to get on the air.

What are you extrapolating that from?
