This one will be close.

I know Burr doesn't really have any major baggage, but being an incumbent in a swing state is basically as much baggage as it takes to get defeated these days.

He's outperforming the other Republicans. Interesting to see Haugh's numbers, my guess is he's getting a lot of undecideds. Polls that include third party candidates usually overestimate them, hopefully the undecideds are fiscal conservatives who go Republican, but they could well be social liberals who will vote Democrat. Anyway, Burr is the strongest Republican in NC, and as always, #FellTheBurr!

I bet Kay Hagan is kicking herself right now for not running for this seat... No one expected this race to be this close! But I almost think a fresh face like Deborah Ross is needed to pull of the upset win for this race. Go Ross!!!

I keep noticing just how Democratic the young North Carolinians are.  Its been that way for a while now.  I first saw it in 2004...  this is what I think is making NC more purple.  It's not the older voters, its these young voters.

They approve of the President, they back Merrick Garland, they want Deborah Ross, and Trump is doing terribly with them.

If Democrats can bring out the young voters in the fall, they might sweep the state.

Either way, NC is now as important as Ohio or Florida is.  Dems need to start funding Deborah Ross's campaign big time.  She has a real chance of winning.
