Cruz is disingenuously floating names to troll for votes. The end.

You don't need to add the word "disingenuously". You already know its there if you are talking about Cruz.

There've been a bunch of leaks but no actual statement from the Cruz camp. I would be surprised if Cruz was actually considering Fiorina, unless polling showed she had a lot of pull with California Republicans -- which would surprise me.

Yeah Ted, if you're going to pick a woman, at least pick one that can cook.

I guess she's a decent debater.

Best pick would be Sandoval, but doubt he'd want to be part of a losing ticket.

I dislike Carly Fiorina intensely; she's one of the more dangerous warmongers in the flock of candidates that ran this year.

That being said, her business record is a plus, as is her gender.  And she is an excellent debater and communicator, something that will be useful in the role of a spear-carrier to the head of the ticket.  She would also refresh Cruz's "outsider" image, which has taken a beating as of late.  All in all, he could do a LOT worse.

While I am not convinced that Cruz is truly considering Fiorina, she would being some things to the ticket, including organizational and business skills and a razor-sharp tongue. Having a woman on the ticket would also soften the GOP image, when they are facing Clinton (although there are much more acceptable choices for this than Fiorina).

Where this ticket would really fail is in the lack of any synergy and teamwork - both these individuals are not well regarded as team players and it would be a tortous presidency.

I am not surprised, Fiorina has put a lot of work into helping Cruz. She was his first big endorsement and has campaigned for him in a ton of states. Carly was in ND wrangling delegates and from what I gather she did a really good job here.

She isn't who I would pick but I can see why she is being seriously considered by Ted.

Ahhhh.
Well that might help slightly. But doubt Cruz could take Cali anyway.

Haven't Republicans learned yet that they aren't going to win the female vote simply through identity politics? People won't reject a Republican woman because she's a woman; they'll reject her because she's a Republican, the party of no birth control for you if Jesus tells me it's a bad thing, and the party of legitimate rape. Regardless of whether it's real or not, there's a perception that the War on Women has been led by Republicans, and fear motivates. Republicans do it, too, with fanning the flames that Democrats want to come and take their guns and Bibles. It's just politics.

Also, women at large support Planned Parenthood and Carly Fiorina's deceitful and misleading attacks against the doctored PP videos, I think, would hurt the ticket more.

I agree with the general consensus on here: she brings nothing to the ticket. At least Palin, despite having the IQ of a preschooler, had "folksiness" and charisma. The media will eviscerate her the same way they did Palin and are trying to do to Hillary, but Fiorina loses all credibility when she cries sexism. Remember, this is the woman who did cry sexism against Trump for the face comment but is the same woman who called Barbara Boxer's hair "so yesterday."

Carly Fiorina seems to me to have been the typical "mean girl" in high school who has now just turned into a mean woman. Cruz/Fiorina would be a soulless ticket.
