If New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, one of the most progressive Democrats in the nation, could get past this current 2016 scandals and a 2017 reelection campaign, could he be a presidential contender in 2020 or 2024? Would New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo have something to say about that, since he probably wants to run for president himself in 2020 if Clinton or Sanders loses in November?
