I think those two states are fit well for him. Centrist conservative, Northeastern appeal. Could he pick at least one state from Trump?

The sort of people who vote in Republican primaries in RI are all in the Trump crowd.

He could have a month ago when Trump was in a slump.  Now that Trump is hot again he's going to sweep everywhere by big margins.

He'll probably reach the 30s in both states, but they are still Trump territory.

Yeah, if Trump shoots and kills a few folks with an illegal handgun (Trump started the meme, so I am now entitled to use it), it could cause perhaps sufficient erosion in his vote totals, to put perhaps CT in play. Otherwise, forget about it. Both states are packed with secular lower middle class to working class Catholics. The remnant of WASPS in Greenwich and Newport who still vote in GOP primaries, have about as much impact in staunching the tide as a piece of driftwood has in changing the course of the Amazon River.

Trump is easily going to win Rhode Island. It will be one of his best states.

Trump is most likely going to win Connecticut too.

It depends on how many of his voters he shoots.

No, though I think he could've won Maryland with a better campaign.

I think he could have sewn up a couple of the tossup gerrymandered CDs by targeting #NeverTrump Cruz voters in the DC suburbs, but Trump seems to have too many strongholds in the state for him to have been able to win outright.

If it were just him vs. Cruz, they'd be great states for him, but with Trump in the race, he doesn't stand a chance.
