Well, first of all, that was completely hypocritical. First he gives a lecture about how you shouldn't presume to know what people think, and how biographers should never say "such and such must have thought..." or "must have felt..." and yet then he turns around and basically does a little arm chair psychoanalysis of Clinton and why she's running for President and presumes to know what her thoughts and feelings are.

Secondly of all, I think it's stupid because I actually agree with the first part of what he said, before he contradicted himself. I have no idea what Clinton thinks or feels, and I would never pretend to or presume to. Maybe that's why she's running for President and maybe it's not. I don't know. No one actually knows but her and it's pointless to speculate.

Spot on. Christopher Hitchens' comments are clear, insightful, and thought provoking. You may not have always agreed with him, but he always made you think.
