I would say that if the nominees are Trump and Clinton their choices would be:

Trump: kasich or Rubio

Clinton: Warner or Caine

Neither Kasich nor Rubio would agree to be Trump's running mate, in all likelihood.

A Trump/Christie ticket would be completely geographically unbalanced, off-putting to a vast number of Americans, and generally a stupid move all around, which is why it will probably happen.

I don't believe that these will be the nominees (or at least not Trump).  But if they were:

Clinton - Tim Kaine
Trump - Newt Gingrich

Kasich will accept it if the party makes him.

The same party which supported first Bush, then Rubio and now Cruz but not Kasich?

The party can't make him do anything.  If they could, he would have already dropped out of the race.

In any case, it's far from clear to me that "the party" will really care who Trump's running mate is anyway.  Most of them think he's going to lose regardless.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Hillary will pick Elizabeth Warren as her running-mate.

I think Clinton will strongly consider a Hispanic male, and will probably also prefer someone under the age of 65 who is not from the Northeast. So the Castros, Becerra, Tom Perez, and Ken Salazar could all be in the running.

I don't think Clinton would even consider picking Sanders, and would probably only pick Warren if she really felt like she had no other option to win over the left wing of the party. And personally, I think her problem is more with young voters than with left-wing voters.

Some of Shadows' sources on twitter told him to tell me that NBA All-Star Grant Hill is being seriously floated as Hillary's running mate.

Hill brings to the table a B.A. in History and Political Science from Duke University, a slew of business and non-profit experiences, deceptive athleticism, and a patented finger-roll.

He is thought to be the only VP pick capable of bringing together the fractured left-wing, upper-middle class, and black constituencies within the Democratic party.

I could dig Al Franken, if only to give Bill O'Reilly an anger stroke. Also he voted against the TPA, so cool.

I really like Thomas Perez, so I hope Clinton picks him. If she wants someone Hispanic, he would be better than Julian Castro. That guy really does not have enough experience. And for people mentioning Virginia Senators, or Senators from critical states - It's doubtful she will endanger a possible Senate majority by picking a Senator from a state that could conceivably result in a Republican Senator taking over.

As for Trump, he'll probably pick an African American because the blacks LOVE him. But seriously, I think he will pick a minority so he can parade them around trying to convince people he isn't an asshole bigot.

Grant Hill is a good man, but he won't be vice president.

Yes. I have it on good authority from multiple inside sources that Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren have been planning a co-vice-presidency for a while now. Meanwhile, Bernie feeling the reluctance of people to accept a third-party run, has instead decided to run as a candidate-less third party vice president, hoping to take votes away from the mainstream vice presidential choices and throw the selection to the Senate.

I think Elizabeth Warren could electrify the ticket for younger voters in a way no one else could.  Every other possibility mentioned is just too conventional -and Hillary needs more than that.
