2020 Candidates

Lyin' Steve:
I used to complain that the Democrats had no bench while the Republicans had a deep bench.  But the GOP absolutely blew out nearly every last one of its good candidates this year.  So now nobody has a damn bench.  It seems like our only choices are Paul Ryan for the GOP and a handful of random female senators for the Dems.

Let's think seriously about this Atlas.  We have a Clinton v. Cruz election.  If Clinton wins, who are the GOP's top five nominees?  If Cruz wins, who are the Democrats' top five nominees?

My picks:

GOP
1.  Paul Ryan
2.  Nikki Haley
3.  Brian Sandoval
4.  Ben Sasse
5.  Mike Lee

Democrats
1.  Cory Booker
2.  Tim Kaine
3.  Andrew Cuomo
4.  John Hickenlooper
5.  Antonio Villaraigosa

catographer:
Marco Rubio.

Kingpoleon:
Republican:
Brian Sandoval
Scott Brown
Christopher Christie
Benjamin Carson
Nikki Haley

Democrats:
John Bel Edwards
Ron Wyden
Brian Schweitzer
Gavin Newsom
Al Franken

beaver2.0:
I don't think Kaine will run for President.

Higgs:
Hillary will probably be in the White House, but if not then I see this as the bench:

Booker, O'Malley, Hickenlooper, Baldwin, De Blasio, maybe Warren

This is my list, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if there were 5 or so more Republicans running. I'm guessing Clinton will be quite vulnerable in 2020. Here's the list:

Cruz (if he loses the nomination to Trump in 2016), Paul, Sasse, Ryan, Christie, Haley, Sandoval, Jindal, Walker (although he might sit it out if Ryan runs)
