if, as it now appears, romney doesnt run for reelection for governor of mass, who will the republicans put up?

i, of course, support the governor-in-exile, jane swift.

phil, as you well know, mass doesnt exactly have a 'farm system' of republicans waiting in the wings.  the state legislature and local offices are all dominated by dems.  hell, they had to get romney from utah.

so if not swift, who will it be?  celluci wouldnt be a bad choice, if he is willing to run.

what about andy card?

Andy Card would be fine but he's Bush's right hand man. That will make things very difficulty for Mr. Card in a Gubernatorial race in MA.

without Romney, that's guaranteed anyway. The only other person who could win is Weld, and he doesn't even live there anymore.
