How did DeSantis win the election while losing Georgia? Sure its possible but the wikibox suggests high turnout and Harris won suburbs

Narrow wins in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin while holding the rest of the Trump map
I see. Interesting!

I love your "Cross of globalism" timeline.

I also like that image you made of a NYT flip map featuring Warren vs Trump, with Trump flipping Nevada. You think you could do that with the 413 nut map?

A little sneak peak for my TL, this was the result I got for my President Infinity simulation for it. Interestingly, one state is actually flipped from the initial result due to the Republicans playing some tomfoolery and claiming voting fraud and having their own people count ballots for either them or the Greenbacks. Same thing happens in the only two states registered as going Democrat, Georgia and Texas, but not enough to flip them. feel free to guess what state they flipped and marvel at the Blaineslide.

EDIT : Here is Sneak Peak 2 of the 1880 Election

This didn't come out too badly considering that it is the first election infobox I've made, but I will say it's not perfect and there's definitely room for improvement.

It’s from TNO (a hearts of iron mod), where the axis wins. The US loses Hawaii and the other pacific islands they hold as well as the ports of LA and SF

He has removed them.

Actually, Hawkins ITTL won re-elected but resigned to serve as Bush I's VP. Thus, special election was called.

The 2024 United States presidential election was the 60th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden and his running mate, incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris were elected to a second term. They defeated the Republican ticket of former President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis.

Despite speculation that he would not seek re-election due to his age, Biden announced he would run for a second term following the 2022 midterm elections. Biden had alienated the progressive wing of the party and faced an unsuccessful primary challenge from U.S. Representative Nina Turner from Ohio, who suspended her campaign after failing to win a single primary contest on Super Tuesday.

The Republican primary was thrown into disarray following former President Donald Trump's decision to seek the nomination. Several candidates such as U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley faced pressure to suspend their campaigns and unite behind Trump. Eventually, Trump faced only token opposition from New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, a moderate. Sununu only won a single primary contest, his home state of New Hampshire. Trump selected Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as his running mate. Because the Constitution prohibits electors from casting both of his or her votes for persons from his or her own state, Trump changed his registration back to his home state of New York. Had he not done this, either he or DeSantis would have forfeited his electoral votes from Florida.

The tone of the campaign was described by many as inconsistent. Democrats focused heavily on the economy, while Republicans centered messaging on culture war issues. Republican strategists believed they would be unable to persuade voters on economic issues due to Biden's popularity on the economy following the 2021-2022 economic recovery as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Trump emphasized his opposition to cancel culture and Critical Race Theory, and falsely claimed that the Biden administration wanted to defund the police. Biden emphasized his accomplishments with the economy and the improved relations with America's allies.

Biden defeated Trump for a second time, winning a majority of the electoral college and the popular vote. Biden flipped North Carolina, which had only voted for the Democratic candidate once since 1976 (in 2008, when Biden was also on the Democratic ticket as Barack Obama's running mate). Biden did not win Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, which was redrawn following the 2020 United states census. It was the first election to see an exact rematch since 1956, when incumbent President Dwight Eisenhower defeated Adlai Stevenson for a second time.

Trump and numerous Republicans attempted to subvert the election and overturn the results, falsely alleging widespread voter fraud and trying to influence the vote counting process in swing states, just as they did before, during, and after the 2020 election. Trump refused to concede the election, and vowed to run for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives so he could impeach Biden and Harris for "stealing the election twice", and become President himself.

This seems very realistic. But why is Trump in New York?

It's explained in one of the paragraphs. If Trump and DeSantis were both listed as from Florida, then Florida's electors couldn't vote for both of them. It's why Cheney registered that he was in Wyoming in 2000, even though he had been living in Texas.

His son, William Howard Taft III. I forgot to change that when making the infobox.

But yeah, I plan for him to not have cancer and live throughout his presidency with a very interesting Frankenstein of an electoral coalition.
