I use inkscape. I download the svg template off of Wikipedia itself and then open and edit in Inkscape.

Why does it say voter turnout increased from 2016 when it obviously went down?

Not 100% sure myself tbh.
I guess the Trump-GOP would, like Hungary's Fidesz, turn the country into an authoritarian regime. Maybe I will create boxes for the previous elections as well (if I am motivated enough).

Spoiler alert: really big image

Decided to try my hand at HD infoboxes. 1980/92/96 are x1.75 their native resolution, 1984/88 are x2 their native resolution.
Behold, the sequel nobody asked for:
Spoiler alert: another big-ass image

Someone needs to give me a crash course on creating infoboxes. Especially ones with the legitimate maps.

I can help! There are two ways. The first one involves copying the source code from a presidential election page in Wikipedia and pasting it in your sandbox. The Sandbox is a tool where Wikipedia users can practice their editing skills.

The other way includes formatting a similar style infobox on Google spreadsheets. This method is easier because it enables you to easily import maps.

And how would I do the infobox for Google Sheets?

A hypothetical scenario in which Eric Greitens refused to resign in 2018 (and somehow managed to survive the impeachment that would have likely followed). He remains consistently unpopular (though his approval does recover a bit from its low point in the 30s in mid-2018), and in 2020, the suburbs kick him out:
