Trump isn't going quietly into the night if he's short of 1237 but easily has most delegates. Keep dreaming.

I think Walker could be an okay pick for Cruz (known quantity, conventional qualifications, example of Republican governance/ new leadership, geographic diversity) but I don't see how it would impress anyone who doesn't already like Cruz.

As I consider Scott Walker unfit for public office, I would vote for Hillary Clinton in such an event.  No Walker!  Not now!  Not ever!

It would solidify Cruz's grip on the Establishment Republican mantle (would probably stop any Establishment ideas of a third-party run) but would be unlikely to push away Cruz's very conservative base.

Should I remind everyone how Walker went from 22-25% in the polls down to literally 0% over the span of a month?

Why is that a bad thing in a VP?

Remember when many Democrats were afraid of Scott Walker at the outset of this campaign?

Seriously overhyped.

ok but Walker probably could have still gotten around 15% in IA if he tried hard. He probably would have just split Rubio's vote

Walker is more moderate by far and will come off as one regardless of what his record was in Wisconsin. However, this would probably the most conservative ticket in modern history. I do not know how conservative Goldwater's VP was. I would probably support this ticket although Cruz is most likely an establishment candidate as of now.

Scott Walker would unleash political unrest as we have not seen since the 1970s, and maybe the 1960s. Just look at all the political demonstrations against him that there were in Wisconsin. This is the sort who tells his opponents to "suck it up, you ingrates!"

He's Establishment, all right -- but he will make people hate the Establishment.
