I was under the impression that amendments by the bill's sponsor are automatically adopted. if that is not the case, then we will move to a 24-hour vote on the amendment.

Under the rules, I think that such can be done without a vote simply by going through a UC request. Same for all amendments actually. If it is a minor change like a spelling issue or something like that than yes, I would treat sponsor amendments as automatically accepted.

It's been over 24 hours, so since it appears that there is nothing left to discuss, we will move on to a 24-hour final vote.

Don't final votes usually last 72 hours?

I've seen it vary.

This seems to be an issue, though, so while I don't think I can do anything for this bill, from now on I'll have 72-hour voting periods.

Votes can only be closed prior to 72 hours if Six votes in the affirmative or negative have been obtained. If such is the case, then 24 hours shall be given for vote changes.

All three votes must be counted, lest the Mideast, Northeast and 1/5 of the nations voters be disenfranchised without a basis in the rules for such. Tongue  https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Current_Senate_Rules,_Regulations,_and_Procedures

Well, I can definitely say that it has been more than 72 hours. This bill has enough votes to pass. Since it's my fault for being late, I will allow 24 hours for any Senator to change their vote.

Once the three votes were counted, you could have called 24 hours then since you had 7 aye votes if I am not mistaken.
