of course government control of crime/economics has led to the downfall of many big cities, but the main point is Kwame sucks.  Horrible mayor, (and stealing the WalterMitty catchphrase) Kwame Kilpatrick is a horrible person (because of the Navigator scandal).  Lousy leadership between him and Coleman Young have led Detroit down this path.

I'm incredibly doubtful he could win.  I hope the best for Detroiters, that they choose a good mayor, (but chances are it won't be much better).

This was the runoff the top 2 candidates (Hendrix and Kilpatrick) move on and will face each other in November.

Is Hendrix a "reformer", or is he a different shade of hustler in the Kilpatrick/Coleman Young mold?

he's not of the mold of Kilpatrick/Young.  He was the deputy mayor of Archer.  Hope he does well, but I can't see him being useful because city council is full of dumb &!*@%s

I care.  I hope all goes well for Detroit.  But we pretty much need a miracle more than we do a good mayor for it to be like in the 60s.

O_O I thought Kilpatrick was toast for sure. Undecided How did this happen?!

1.Kwame had more money
2.Kwame played the 'race card', which the people of Detroit are rucking forons, if they vote for the 'blacker' candidate when both are black.
3.Hendrix's son got arrested
