This is the first entirely post-debate Michigan poll, so maybe it's not totally off.

you guys want him as the nominee so bad.

I genuinely believe that he is the only one who would defeat Hillary.

If Kasich starts winning states then a brokered convention is all the more likely.

Sorry that I have a hard believing a single poll that contradicts ever other. If more polls show Kasich competitive with Trump, I'll believe it. For the record, I'd rather have Kasich as the Republican nominee than Trump.

Kasich may be having something of a Jerry Brown in 76 moment where he surges last minute as a Stop Trump/Carter candidate but it's too little too late.

ARG has been historically pro-Kasich, but at the very least...this shows he has a great shot to pick up some delegates there.

60 delegates up for grabs there on Tuesday, if the vote keeps getting fractured and Kasich is involved too, this is going to the convention.

Kasich does best in open primary states since theres a sizeable amount of dems willing to vote for him to prevent trump from winning. Trump if he wants to get media attention would sue demand that open primaries no longer be a thing.

While I wouldn't hope for him to win, I could tolerate a President Kasich.

The CNN and FOX Michigan focus groups were very pro Kasich, he has been focussing heavily, almost exclusively on MI since the NH primary. Trump has had a bad week since Tuesday. Romney has popularity in MI. Trump sn't going to have a great weekend.  I think it's possible Kasich could win in MI, and if he does then IL and OH may follow, assuming he can get an assist from the anti Trump super PACs

If it's post-debate, why is Carson included?

Neither too little nor too late. Watch and see! Smiley. The same multi-candidate split, that was helping Trump up to now, will be his demise in places like MI.

Kasich will do well in the Rustbelt. He'll do well in Macomb County, Michigan. Home of the Reagan Democrats.
