With Zootopia now marking the 55th Animated film to come of Disney itself [and not Pixar], this seemed inevitable. This specific round is focused on those films that I'm gonna assume cover at least 75% of Atlas in the first watched category given that most of us are twenty-somethings.

This is the generation in which a film managed an Oscar nomination for Best Picture [no animated film before pulled that off], the absurdly catchy songs started coming out, and when celebrity voices started to enter (hello Robin Williams as the Genie).

I won't have any descriptions this time just because of the demographics skew.

Red for best, blue for worst, but if don't feel too bad about picking two good ones, lots of good ones came out at this point.

My oldest son is in the wheel house for these, so I've seen all of them except The Rescures...and maybe Tarzan, I certainly don't remember it.  Several of them I've seen a lot, Lion King and Hercules the most.  (not as much as Toy Story or Space Jam though)  I'm going with Lion King as my favorite, though I really remember enjoying Mulan, but I only saw that once.

As for no likey, I don't really like any of the "girly" ones.  I suppose Pochantas is the worst.

Best: Hunchback of Notre Dame. Very daring for a Disney movie in many respects. Honorable mentions to Beauty and the Beast and Mulan.

Least good: The Little Mermaid. Terribly overrated.

Best: Beauty and the Beast. One of my all time favorite movies of any genre.

Worst: Hercules is by far my least favorite, though I wouldn't say I hate it.

All in all a pretty good period for Disney if I do say so for myself.

I always like Aladdin and Hercules. Voted the former. Pocahontas and Lion King were OK.

Mulan was pretty terrible from what I remember though a couple of these are completely unmemorable.

Best- Lion King easily, though Aladdin, Mulan and Tarzan were amazing as well

Worst- Hercules

Lion King is my 2nd favorite animated movie of all time behind Toy Story

For me, this one is the hardest since the Classics when it comes to narrowing down.

But while all of them have a hold on my childhood (The Lion King was literally one of the first movies I saw period, and Mulan was the first I saw at a theater), I have to give Hunchback the prize.

The music, the actually complex villain, how the hero does not win his/her love interest, but especially the religious imagery.

As for least, Pocahontas, easily. Not a fan of Hercules either, but at least Hades was amusing.

But those two are just the odd ones out.

I would have picked The Goofy Movie as my favorite but since it's DQ'ed here I go:

Best: Pocahontas. Hate away but I always loved this one. I loved the art of it and I love the songs. Plus I just always digged the story as a kid. If I have anything to blame for my love of history it's this one.

2nd place would be Tarzan. Loved the animation, style and story and Collins's music is epic. Minus points for some casting choices and some boring spots.

Worst: Little Mermaid.  Besides a couple of songs I never liked it. For one it's too girly and two it's overboard in places. I always found that stupid crab to be annoying as hell.

Never cared for Hercules either but Mulan gets a pass from me. Hunchback I never watch oddly. I preferred Aladdin's sequels more than the first one.

Tough call, but IMO, Mulan is the only good film Disney has made since The Lion King.

Personally, I would cut off the Disney Renaissance after The Lion King, because its runaway success made Disney greedy and drunk with power trying to 1-up themselves, so they made a bunch of duds after that.  During the later years of Eisner's tenure, everything was dumbed down for the kiddies, and no matter what John Lasseter and Bob Iger say, nothing has changed since the.

Hunchback if it didn't have those lousy gargoyles.

Best: Lion King, with Hunchback being a close second.
Worst: Very close, all movies here are very strong in multiple areas. I'd go with Little Mermaid.

The Lion King is a classic, the rest (like most non-Pixar Disney films) are awful.

Best:  Lion King and Aladdin

Worst:  Rescuers Down Under maybe?  I mean... none of the 90s Disney movies were particularly bad though Pocahontas did nothing for historical accuracy.
