Having Christie's endorsement makes me even LESS inclined to vote for him, if that was even possible.

So Christie would probably be Trump's AG, right? That would make the most sense.

Christie is now hacking away at Rubio. This is beautiful politics.

This disrupts Rubio's narrative of the party "coalescing" around him, especially if Trump starts to pluck off some of the Christie endorsing governors like LePage, Hogan, etc and a few congress critters.

I was surprised when Christie didn't endorse Kasich or Bush, one of his fellow governors. I guess now we know why.

CHRIS CHRISTIE - one of the good ones. Moderate endorses moderate! Can't wait for Kasich to do the same

Unfortunately, Baker will never endorse TRUMP. I hope the Tea Party primaries him in 2018.

LePage is pretty much definite to me. The rest - eh... I see Hogan and Baker as Kasich endorsers.

This is great for Cruz. It's bad for Rubio, but Trump getting endorsed by the Obama-hugging, corrupt NJ governor only supports Cruz's narrative. And while the impact won't be huge, it won't do Trump any favors in the South either.

Chris Christie is doing the one thing he's good at: screwing with the traffic, this time he's messing with the Establishment Lane. (If Trump doesn't win, I suspect he's done in the GOP. Of course, he was probably done anyway.)

L.L. beat me to it!

He dropped out this month so it won't be for a few weeks.

He is super-tight with Christie and Scott Brown, and is very hard-line on immigration for a moderate New England Republican. But yeah I don't see him endorsing TRUMP. He probably will stay neutral though now.

I could see Giuliani supporting TRUMP, though I don't think it'd help much at this point.

Did the pig fly down to Texas to debase himself at Trump's feet?

Did anyone else witness Trump's evisceration of Rubio on live TV?

If Rubio thinks he can win by sinking down to Trump's level, he will get clobbered even harder than we projected before the debate.

Agreed. And based on some of the comments in last night's debate, Trump is already speaking to independents and swayable democrats. Trump may actually work with Congress, those on both sides of the aisle, to get a few things done; won't that be different!

This seems hastily arranged. My bet is they were holding this endorsement until after Tuesday but felt the need to pull the pin after last night's debate.   Just speculation but campaigns often sit on endorsements waiting to time them for max impact

This is only somewhat surprising. If Christie was going to endorse somebody, only Trump makes sense. He couldn't endorse Rubio after embarrassing him on national TV, Kasich's campaign is increasingly irrelevant, and neither Cruz or Carson are good ideological fits. Besides this, there are obvious personality parallels.

Good for Trump, though it's strange he chose to unveil this in Texas instead of a more moderate ST state where it would have had more effect.
