Akno, can I help out?  I did start the original AFL. Wink

Also, can I have two teams?

Toronto Kings
2004 New England Patriots

New England Highlanders
1980 New Orleans Saints

If not, just give me the Kings.

If you can have more than one I will buy another team.

If we are to allow two teams, then perhaps we can adopt a rule under which at least one team must not have reached the Super Bowl, or even the playoffs (to make it fairer).

Well, if we are allowed to have Canadian teams...

Montreal Voyageurs (Woodsmen of Canada back in the day, tough SOBs if there ever were any)
2004 Minnesota Vikings (shut up, I like the Vikings)

Siege

I'll take a team:  Call 'em the American Samoa Admirals, and have 'em be the Tampa Bay team from their first season in which they went 0-14.

After conferring with King, we're gonna have 24 teams (2 conferences, 6 teams per division, division winners and 2 wildcard teams make the playoffs in each conference, so 8 playoff teams), so we'll keep registration open until we get that number. If we don't get it by Thursday, we'll have the extra teams owned by the leauge, who will decide their team name and NFL basis.

Couldn't the extra teams be owned by the league, and not belong to any one individual?

Good idea, I'll modify that.
