Nevada is a western state where the overwhelming majority of the land is owned by the federal government.  You're going to see more anger with the federal government in western states for this reason than you do in places where the federal government doesn't control as much.
Why?

Because people in the West have experienced it and people in the East have not.

Out here, there were entire towns that depended on logging or mining that were thriving up until the 80s and 90s when federal and state conservation measures went into place. Just read a little about Burns (The actual town. The protesters there were not from the area.).

Entrance polls: nearly 1/3 of GOP #NevadaCaucus goers say economy/jobs most important issue http://cbsn.ws/21psNNk

If this were true they would stay home. Lets see how Obama has done: a continuously growing economy, 5% unemployment rate (aka full employment), 9 million jobs created, 17 million people with healthcare that didn't have it before ACA, and low gas prices! Wink What more could you ask for? B. Clinton left office in a very similar way. G.W. Bush, not so much! Wink

I'm predicting Trump carries everything but Washoe.

If he shot a man in Reno, would they vote for him?

Well, it's going to be another hour before we get results. I guess then we'll know if they did any better with the exit polls this time...

The Reno man would see that Trump was a strong second amendment supporter, drag himself to the caucus, and attempt to vote before he died. And, should he die before voting, still vote anyway, given the way the NV GOP has been running this gongshow.

Does anyone know if the Counties that have already concluded their Caucus will have already began to count their ballots, and by 9 we will see a bunch of results, or are they not going to start counting ballots until then.

I do not want to abolish caucuses or anything, but NV really should either adopt a primary or make Utah the first in the west caucus. They clearly can't handle this very well.

FOX News exit polls suggest that Kasich will have next to nothing, Trump will be in the 40s, and Rubio/Cruz will split the rest.

Why?

Federal (mis)management of public lands is a huge issue in the west, especially Nevada, where over 80% of the land is federally owned.  It's not an issue in a state like South Carolina, where the federal government owns very little land.  Nevadans don't like the federal government telling them what they can do on federal land with little local input.
Interesting, thanks. What does the mismanagement exactly entail? Basically allowing people to do almost nothing with it, limiting people's opportunities to make use of the land?

Maybe 5%.  They didn't give overall numbers, but they did give breakdowns like Rubio winning for winning in November, Cruz for sharing my values (but Trump was a strong third), and- surprisingly- Trump dominating evangelicals 43-26-21.

You make it sound like it's an issue that most NV Republicans care about, rather than just the rural NV Republicans.
