Round 2, Bracket 7 Results Recount

A review of the results found two problems.  A ranking of Andrew Johnson and Franklin Pierce had been reversed.  This would have moved Johnson to second, with Tyler and Pierce tied for 3rd.  However, Pierce should not have been listed on the ballot, since he was in an earlier bracket on this round.  Instead, Millard Fillmore should have been.

Fillmore will be included in a later bracket.  And this bracket bracket was recounted with the Pierce rankings eliminated, and any lower rankings slid upward.  This produces the following result:

Round 2, Bracket 7 Results

1. John Adams (1791-1801)  8 points.
2. John Tyler (1841-1845)   17 points.
-----------------------------------------------------------
3. Andrew Johnson (1865-1869)   17 points.

John Tyler survives on the earlier administration rule.  Andrew Johnson is eliminated.

Round 2, Bracket 7 Results

1. John Adams (1791-1801)  8 points.
2. Franklin Pierce (1853-1857)   20 points.
-----------------------------------------------------------
3. John Tyler (1841-1845)   21 points.
4. Andrew Johnson (1865-1869)   21 points.

Tyler defeats Johnson on earlier administration rule, but both are eliminated.

Well yeah. These are after all the candidates that just abrely scraped by in round 1.

1 Bill Harrison, for dying to soon to do much damage
2 US Grant, for meaning well
3 Jim Monroe, for not being as royal a failure as the next two
4 James Buchanan, for possibly meaning well, and for possibly being too stupid to be able to do better
5 Millard Fillmore, for lack of any saving graces

1. Grant, He was not tied top any of the scandals that overttok his Presidency. In fact, most of them had nothing to do with his administration (Whicksey Ring)

2. James Monroe, "Era of Good Fellings". His Monroe Doctirne revolutionized U.S. foreign policy. He and Hoover were our two most honest Presidents.

3. Millard Fillmore, he was a well meaning man who tried to compromise away the Civil War. "Opened Japan".

4. James Buchanan, openedrelations with Japan.

5. William Harrison; idiot didn't wear a coat on a 13 degree day!

Reagan is going to win this thing anyway.

I don't know that we've had a better president than Al Gore.
