Will California gain electoral votes after the 2020 census? And if so, how many? After the 2010 census there was no change (55 EVs), although there has been a significant popoluation increase.

Since 2010, the US has grown 4.1% and CA has grown 5.1%, for a net increase of 1% or about half a seat. So, it appears likely at this point that CA with either stay put or gain a seat.
