Jr's chances have been killed by the arrest of his uncle.  The trial will no doubt either be going on during the campaign, or very fresh in the voters minds at the time of the election.  Ford's family has always been the millstone around his neck, nad it doesn't appear that that is going to change anytme soon.  Harold ford Jr is a great guy, though a little to liberal for my tastes, but his family is a complete albatross.

This is just the latest in a long, long, long line of scandals for uncle John , and Harold's father, former Congressman Harold Ford Sr, was one of the leading check kiters during the House bank scandal of the early '90s.

Ford has the curse of the Democrat Keynote Speaker.

Cuomo '84 got ousted in '94...
Ann Richards '88 got ousted in '94 by our current President...
Bill Bradley '92 went on to lose New Hampshire...
Zell Miller '92 became a Republican...

And thus will Evan Bayh '96 fail in the end.
As will Obama '04
And Ford '00.

If voters turn against the Republicans in 2006, he should be able to win.
