51%, would however dip a few times due to current polarized environment.

45% on leaving office. Was around 37% for most of his second term but got a lame duck bounce.

45%, extremely polarizing to the right, and your proposals would likely earn much consternation among the center. A moderate Republican probably defeats you with around 52% of the popular vote, when you run for re-election.

Assuming you ran as an independent, 45%. Unfortunately, both the left and the right have negative views, though the hatred coming from those who disapprove of you would be less than the hatred of a Democrat from Republicans and vise-versa. There is definately a lot more fluidity though, since you're an independent, so if you do a good job, it has potential to climb up to maybe mid to high 50s.

47% -- not stellar, but still pretty decent considering the progmod label combined with the hyper-partisan environment of the present.

56%. You win over most Republicans and have good independent appeal and even get a few Democrats by your side. You win re-election fairly comfortably.

47%, you don't go far-right enough to please the base but don't ruffle too many feathers among moderates. Narrowly win re-election.

52% at the end of the administration. After having hovered around 48% for most part. I picture Ferg as a blander and slightly less polarizing version of Obama, basically.
