Pollsters who poll national results are immune from evaluation, since there is no such thing as a national primary contest.
On the other hand, PPP, Quinnipiac, Selzer,  etc. Risk their reputation by daring to forecast states, such as Iowa.

Fox , Yougov, etc. are not confident enough in their ability to predict these difficult state contests.
That's why we have so few Iowa polls despite Iowa being as important or more important than national numbers.
Grow balls and give us more state polls, especially the early ones (Iowa, NH and SC).

The issue is not whether these groups poll IA, etc. The question is who pays. Polls are rarely done for free and pollsters are not in the business of giving away their data without pay. Polls are usually either conducted for a candidate or a media outlet. That's why you often see a pairing of news organizations and polling firms like YouGov/Economist or NBC/SurveyMonkey.

If you want more polls of individual states, don't bug the pollsters. Tune into segments on cable and read subscription articles that feature new polling data. The companies will spend where the public interest lies.
