Time to bring this back and finish it.

Because of all the new people that have joined since I left off, I shall reintroduce the premise:

Basically, there often seems to be a divide between the big name cities and the rest of the state from which they are in. The question is then, does that city and it's surrounding area deserve to overshadow the rest of the state? Or does the rest of the state have more to offer.

In the case of Missouri, it seems to be Kansas City, St. Louis, and everywhere else that compete for attention...so which do you prefer?

The Current Standings

Specific Cities:
New York: New York City (58.3%)
Illinois: Chicago (53.8%)
Texas: Austin (52.2%)
Pennsylvania: Philadelphia (43.75%)
Ohio: Columbus (50%)
Indiana: Indianapolis (68.8%)
North Carolina: Raleigh/Durham (36.3%)
Washington: Seatac [Seattle/Tacoma] (55.6%)
Massachusetts: Boston (52.2%)
Oklahoma: Oklahoma City (52.9%)
Oregon: Portland (53.3%)
Kentucky: Louisville (53.8%)

Rest of Missoura. I have family in Hannibal and I enjoy it. Plus Illinois is just a stone's throw away.

"The rest of the state" is basically all porn shops and "Jesus Saves" billboards.

I'm basically from St.Louis so it's fairly obvious that I will pick KC.  Rural MO sucks.  The northern part equals the boringness of any other plains state, the southern part is full of rednecks and Christians on vacation.  At least KC has fountains and BBQ.

This is not an exaggeration--though many of the religious ones are abortion themed.  At least the roads have improved, back before Carnahan  was Gov, me and future Ms. wanted to put up a billboard from Cletus the Fetus that said "Missouri, your roads are an abortion"
