So it began this morning.  Trump's been trying out little anti-Cruz attack lines in his speeches all week.  What do you think will ultimately stick and be the barb that characterizes Cruz and brings him down like Rubio, Carson, Bush, and Walker before him?

Or would he want to get it down to Trump v Cruz in the delegate rich blue states?

Cruz is too popular with the base, he can't.

I think going after him on ethanol would be good to beat him in Iowa and slow his momentum.

So was Ben Carson until Trump and the media double-teamed him into oblivion.  While I agree that Cruz is a stronger candidate than Carson was, it's not like the crazies don't have alternatives to turn to if Teddy becomes toxic.

Trade.

"Look, I like Ted. He's a nice guy, good guy, got a lovely family. He's said great things about me. He called me 'terrific', can you believe that? But he supports bad deals like the TPP that steal jobs just like yours and ship them off to Mexico and China. He just doesn't get it and it's sad because I like him so much! I'll bring back our jobs from China, from Mexico, from Japan, from so many places. I’ll bring back our jobs, and I’ll bring back our money."

Donald Trump's angle now seems to be that Ted Cruz is pretty kooky. I mean, it worked with Carson when he basically just called him a weirdo (something crazy christians hate), so maybe it'll work with Cruz, but I'm not as sure.

The establishment has to hope Trump and Cruz get into a bloody war and someone sneaks the middle and takes Iowa (maybe Rubio, maybe not).
