Do you believe the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump hatched a plot with the Clintons with the objective of sowing chaos in the Republican Party with his candidacy, securing Hillary Clinton's election as President of the United States, irreparably damaging the GOP brand among key growing electoral constituencies (like Latinos and Muslims) in the process?

No, the Clinton's wouldn't do that. Every evil plan they ever hatched involved killing off the enemy.

I suppose it could come from a person smarter than themselves though. A bona fide strategic genius.

The effect might be the same, but I can attribute that effect to incompetence, ignorance, and anger which can prove as destructive as a conspiracy to do evil.
